Reading and homework in Year 2
Children are expected to read at least 4 times per week with an adult who then signs their home reading diary. These get checked every day by Mrs Cahill.
Children will receive maths and/or english homework on a Friday to be completed with an adult and handed in on the following Wednesday.
If anyone is struggling to complete any of the work at home please come and speak to us in school and we can talk about how best to support you & your child.
Our P.E. lessons are on Tuesday afternoons. Children must wear a school kit: white T-shirt, blue shorts and black P.E. pumps. Children are allowed to wear trainers and jogging pants when we do our lessons outside however for any lessons in the hall children will need black pumps. If children don't have pumps they can take part in bare feet.
Every P.E. lesson we choose a 'Sports person of the week'. This person is chosen for demonstrating that they use their Hands (technique), Head (thinking and applying the skills) & Heart (sportsmanship) in a lesson.
