Here is the video clip from the leavers service. I don't think words are needed to say how much you will all be missed; the clip says it all. Happy watching!

SATs are done, time for fun!!

Strike a pose...

This week at school, we were very lucky to be visited by Andy from the awesome Urban Strides dance group. Andy shared some of his best moves with us and told us his personal success story.

The children now know they must take 'Positive Action' If they want to achieve their dreams.

Every Monday afternoon the children of class 13 are able to go to Alsop High School to experience some extra PE lessons with the fabulous Mrs Orrick. For this six week block the children will be playing invasion games, circuit training and using the trampolines.

Just one of the many perks from being a hard working, successful year 6 class!

Checkout those athletes!

In Mr Hayes' numeracy set, some children were set the task of making cocktails; looking to convert measures from millilitres to litres and vice versa. The children had to be careful with their measurements and follow the specifications very carefully.

Below is some photos of our mixologists in action.

Northcote were invited to a dodgeball tournament at De La Salle Academy. Our team put in a fantastic effort coming 2nd; winning 2, drawing 1 and narrowly losing the other. As always we played with a fantastic spirit and the children did the school proud. Well done guys!
Science Week
During Science Week, year 6 have worked hard researching two important people regarding our topic in evolution and inheritance. Mary Anning is not regarded as scientist, however, her fossil findings led to inspiring many scientific breakthroughs in the world of fossils; making a significant contribution to our knowledge of what animals once walked upon our planet. Our second significant figure was the scientist/adventurist, Charles Darwin, who's discoveries contributed vastly to the 'theory of evolution'; providing a great insight about where the human species comes from and how we got here.
Zoo lab visited and showed us strange creatures.
