Class 12

Welcome to Class 12

Welcome to class 12, our teacher is Mr Norman and our teaching assistant is Miss King. You can keep up to date with everything that is going on in our class on this page.


PE and Games
We have Games on Mondays and PE on Wednesday afternoons.

English- Given out on Mondays, due in on Fridays.

Maths- Given out on Mondays, due in on Fridays.


Children have the option to attend homework club on Wednesday evenings from 3.30pm untill 4pm.

Home Reading
Children must read at least four times per week.


Spellings will be given out every Friday in preparation for the test the following Friday. Please help your child to practice these.

Class 12's Reading Champions are:

Daniel and Emily.

Here they are enjoying their favourite book in our class reading pod. Daniel's favourite book is 'Gangster Granny' by David Williams and Emily's favourite book is 'Matilda' by Roald Dahl. 


Sports Day 

Today we took part in a range of different sports activities. We all tried our best and had lots of fun. We were even lucky enough to get some sunshine! 

Junior Chef

Today we had a visit from Junior Chef. We made chocolate truffles which were inspired from the story 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. They were very tasty! 


Today we made Easter baskets by weaving different pieces of card. 

Premier League Trophy 

Today we were lucky enough to have the Premier League Trophy visit. 

Military School 

First Day - We created presentations about ourselves and started practicing the line drill. 

First Aid - Today we learnt vital life saving skills.
Obstacle Course - Today we tested our speed, agility and co-ordination by completing an indoor assault course. 
Team Building - Today we took part in various activities and challenges to test our ability to communicate, problem solve and work successfully as a team. 


We have been learning how to play different brass instruments.


We have been learning about gymnastics.


We continued our study of the Mayans by using clay to create Mayan temples. 


We tested the effects of surface area on air resistance. We found that when we increased the surface area of the parachute it took longer to fall. 


Recently, we have been learning about instructions in English. We began this unit by following and giving oral instructions in a variety  of different activities. Eventually, we were able to make our own instructions on how to make hot chocolate. Through writing clear step-by-step instructions, using imperative verbs and time conjunctions, we were able to make hot chocolate.
